The SSPX? It's about the money

When someone  tells you It's not about the money you can be reasonably sure it is about the money.

The SSPX won't reconcile with the Church and the Pope because - this is my observation - it has too many assets that require money coming in and going out: Seminaries, Chapels, Schools, Propaganda, Tribunals etc etc.

The June issue of "Culture Wars" has some interesting information about the SSPX and Trads in general.

Of particular interest is one Michael Davies whose name and stature amongst soi disant Trads is well known.

When Mons Lefebvre illegally consecrated his Bishop and was justly excommunicated, Mr. Davies called Dr E. Michael Jones and told him he was appalled.

Dr. Jones, asked Mr. Davies to write an article about this for Fidelity (It later was renamed Culture Wars) but he did a 180; he sent an article defending what Lefebvre did.

Apparently, The SSPX schism got wind of the matter and told Mr, Davies the schism would no longer promote and sell his books if he condemned Lefebvre.

Dr Jones also chases down the tall tales about Annibale Bugnini and his putative membership in Masonry.

Long story short, there has never been any evidence he was a mason.

Dr Jones spoke with Cardinal Gagnon at his offices for Pontifical Institute for the family at Palazzo San Calisto in Trastevere and asked about a dossier that, according to Mr. Davies, was the source/proof that Bugnini was a Mason and he said no such list of Masons existed but the Trad magazine, Si, Si, No, No was a supporter of the Schism and just made-up the list which was not unusual in the internecine politics of Rome.

There is a dossier by Cardinal Gagnon but its contents have never been made public and the good Cardinal denies it documents that Bugnini was a mason.

There are also no records of any Masonic Lodge listing Bugnini as a member but the accusations are useful to discredit the changes in the liturgy.

After Annibale Bugnini (first brought on board the Liturgical movement by Pope Pius XII) publicly accused Mr. Davies of calumny. Mr. Davies admitted " I never claimed to have proof that Archbishop Bugnini was a Freemason."

Proof schmoof... whatever Dude.

Remember such things when you decide to get your information from the SSPX and its supporters.

Is the New Mass valid?

YES!!

That dissolves any claim of a state of emergency, right?

If you don't like what resulted from Sancrosanctum Concilium ( I don't) stay in the church and strive to change it in a legitimate way.

If the new Mass is not valid, you have concluded the Church is not indefectible and you are on the path to perdition.
